The Republic of Moldova will receive funding of 4.285 million Romanian lei (equivalent to over 800 thousand euros) from the total budget allocated to Romania’s Annual Plan for International Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Assistance for the year 2023, as reported by Agerpres.
According to a statement from the Romanian Government, during the Friday session, the Government took note of an information brief regarding the update of the Annual Plan for International Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Assistance for the year 2023.
“The plan for the year 2023 was approved during the Government meeting on March 9, 2023. The Republic of Moldova continues to be the priority beneficiary of Romania’s policy of international development cooperation on a bilateral level. Following the update, the Republic of Moldova will receive funding of 4.285 million lei, which represents 29.68% of the total budget allocated to the plan for the year 2023,” the statement from the Romanian Government reads.

The Annual Plan for International Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Assistance serves as the planning document for activities within the framework of the international development cooperation and humanitarian assistance policy for the corresponding fiscal year.
The implementation of the Plan is carried out by the International Development Cooperation Agency (RoAid), an institution subordinate to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
