Romanian Foreign Minister Bogdan Aurescu requested on Monday, at the meeting of foreign ministers from the 27 EU countries, the adoption as soon as possible of a list of sanctions against those who are behind some attempts to destabilize the Republic of Moldova.
“I will present a situation of the procedure that Romania initiated, together with other states, to list the people who act against the stability of the Republic of Moldova within the recently created sanctions regime. I proposed the creation of this sanctions regime on February 20 within the Foreign Affairs Council, and I am glad that, in record time, perhaps in the fastest process of creating a sanctions regime within the European Union, this was launched sanctions regime. So, I hope these lists will be adopted as soon as possible,” he said.
