The President of the Portuguese Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, has been decorated with the “Order of Honor” by the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu.
The Order was conferred “as a sign of profound gratitude for the outstanding contribution to the development and consolidation of Moldovan-Portuguese relations of friendship and cooperation, as well as for the full support of Moldova’s European path,” as reported by Deschide.md.
In recent days, Maia Sandu undertook a working visit to Lisbon, at the invitation of Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
