The delegation of the Republic of Moldova demands the withdrawal of illegal posts from the Security Zone!

During the working meeting of September 22 in Bender, the Delegation of the Republic of Moldova reiterated that the checkpoints installed abusively by the Transnistrian force structures prevent free movement and endanger the situation in the Security Zone. According to the representatives of the Republic of Moldova, the Unified Control Commission must intervene to ensure the withdrawal of illegal posts from the area of ​​responsibility of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces.

The representatives of Chisinau proposed a new draft decision, which obliges Tiraspol to comply with the provisions of the Agreement of July 21, 1992 and to renounce its unilateral actions.

Following the debates, the parties did not reach any common denominator, and a break was taken for further consultations.

At the same time, during the same meeting, the recent incidents at the peacekeeping post near the town of Vadul lui Vodă were discussed. In order to exclude tensions of this kind, the Joint Military Command is to present proposals for adjusting the internal instructions.

The commission will meet for another meeting in a week.
