The European Union will grant Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova an additional humanitarian aid in the amount of 175 million euros by winter. With such an announcement came the European commissioner for crisis management, Janez Lenarcic, on Thursday in Kyiv, reports Agerpres.ro.
“Next winter will probably bring major problems for Ukraine and we need to be prepared,” said the official, who also promised Ukraine isolated shelters for the cold season.
The 175 million are intended for education, ensuring food and access to water and protection against the cold for the most vulnerable social categories, Lenarcic also said.
