Block No. 1 of the Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery will have lower heating costs

Block No. 1 of the Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery will have lower heating costs, after being renovated with the support of the Agency for Energy Efficiency, the project being supported within the Call for Proposals for Pilot Projects.

On Tuesday, the final reception of the works took place within the “IMSP Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery” project in Chisinau, and the director of the Agency for Energy Efficiency, Ion Muntean, inspected the works before the final reception.

Ion Muntean emphasized that for each executed project, a thorough check will be ensured in terms of quality and compliance with the technical task to ensure the efficient use of public money.

The total value of the works is 7,122,961 lei, of which 5,000,000 lei represents the contribution of the Energy Efficiency Agency and 2,122,961 lei – the contribution of the medical institution.

With the help of these financial sources, it was possible to thermally insulate the external walls, with a total area of 2,450 m2, replace windows and external doors with a total area of 217.23 m2, as well as thermally insulate the pyramidal roof with a total area of 1 588.40 m2.

At the same time, during the implementation period, the beneficiary was provided with technical assistance, which includes the energy audit report, the elaboration of the expenditure estimate, the expertise of the estimate documentation, the technical expertise of the building and technical supervision services.

The Agency for Energy Efficiency has the mission of implementing state policy in the field of energy efficiency, energy performance of buildings, as well as the exploitation of renewable energy sources, including by attracting and managing financial resources in order to finance projects in the respective fields in a sustainable way from the point of view of the environment and climate change.
